We are a family run business with three generations of experience in gunsmithing and the retail of top quality firearms. The business has been established for almost 130 years.

William Elderkin is the fifth generation of Elderkins working in the business, having started work on leaving school at 16 as an apprentice in the workshop and taking over the main running of the business in the mid 1990s. From that date Elderkins have been voted best gunshop in 1999/2000 and 2003/2004.

Elderkins have five fully trained gunsmiths, all having started working after leaving school at 16 and learning all aspects of gunsmithing, from barrel work, springs and specialising in re-stocking to the highest order, completing over 30 stocks a year.
